11 Hotly Anticipated Video Game Sequels That Would Dominate E3

10. TimeSplitters 4

Remember when first person shooters weren't just military-themed? Sure there's another Halo potentially coming this year, but outside of enjoying some more of the same high-flying space-combat, precisely because it's 'another Halo' it won't/can't be anything revolutionary. Timesplitters on the hand, saw a huge number of innovations over its core run on the PS2 in the early noughties. Gamers touted it as the finest console FPS since GoldenEye in terms of core feel, and with brilliant animation, an unmatched sense of style, some hectic multiplayer and a string of weapons all huge fun to bust out - Timesplitters 2 in particular was a landmark success. The thing with TS4 is that it was once proposed and had the initial production underway, only for Free Radical to get bought out and converted into Crytek UK, never getting back to finishing their beloved creation. Since then there have been numerous interviews mentioning how the team themselves are very much willing to do another game, and considering the current climate for the genre, it'd be great if another Team Fortress 2-style console-only shooter could rock the boat.
