11 Things We Learned From PlayStation Meeting 2016

1. PS4 Pro Doesn't Have A UHD Blu-Ray Player

Easily the most shocking thing we learned at the PlayStation Meeting was the fact that the PS4 Pro won't come fitted with a UHD 4K Blu-ray player.

This seemed like a foregone conclusion, that Sony would outfit their new console with their latest video playing tech...but nope.

Fans are understandably extremely upset at Sony for it, and while some will concede that discs are dying and streaming is the way forward, most people lack the connections required for stable 4K video, and streaming is never going to quite capture the fidelity of a disc.

Many have as such sworn off the PS4 Pro and decided to defer to either the Xbox One S or Project Scorpio, both of which feature UHD Blu-ray players.

That's right: there's already a console on the market that can do something substantial the PS4 Pro can't.

What a mind-bogglingly terrible decision.
