11 Things We Learned From Tokyo Game Show 2016
2. Nioh Will Release In February 2017
Sony's PS4 Pro may be shaking the solid foundations Sony established in 2013, but they've still got one shiny jewel in their crown that might just replace Dark Souls as the 'rock hard game of choice' in 2017.
Nioh, a game that's actually been in development since 2004 (yes, a third title that's had a decade in the oven) has clearly been chopped up and reassembled over the years to coincide with Dark Souls' rise to prominence. Now it's had a couple of popular Alpha and Beta demos, Team Ninja have crafted an experience that's every bit as rewarding as FromSoftware's, except with many smaller tweaks to keep things interesting.
Pushed out of 2016, Nioh is now set to drop on February 9th. Hopefully, plenty strenuous online tests and copious fan feedback will mould this into the continuation of where Dark Souls left off.
