11 Things We Learned From Tokyo Game Show 2016

4. Final Fantasy XV Continues To Look Mighty Promising

Maybe if we all keep our fingers crossed and forget about the fact this has been in development for 10 years solid, Final Fantasy XV will be the return to form fans have wanted since... oooh, 2001?

It remains that Final Fantasy hasn't managed to reclaim its top spot on the RPG pile since the four-strong combo of VII, VIII, IX and X (maybe XII if you're being generous), but with this updated TGS trailer, it provides a very tantalising look at the primary motivation behind main man Noctis' journey.

Talks of Game of Thrones-style marriages to benefit kingdoms and righteous heirs being called upon, all as the trademark Final Fantasy splendour gives the whole feel of the game a grandiose tone, its mix of mod-cons such as gas stations and mobile phones alongside regal kingships and monsters to slay, may just come together after all.
