11 Types Of Players Everyone HATES In Multiplayer Video Games
6. The Red Power Ranger
Elitism in gaming is not something alien to the community.
In Co-Op games, the internal hierarchies of social groups dictate who is the de facto Leader, and therefore who is managing their companions on the mission. If you stray even the slightest from their plan, be prepared to be more than scolded.
Of course, teamwork is key and if you're the sort of person who goes against the grain every time, why bother playing with a group to begin with? But it's a collaborative effort, and every input should be valid and heard. The Red Power Ranger won't have it any other way though. It's their way, or the highway.
In their eyes, they've made the sacrifice and taken the duty of leading everyone else to victory. They didn't ask for this responsibility, but for some reason they refuse to give it up to anyone else in the group (because everyone else isn't them).
Their dictating and micro-managing of a Capture-The-Flag game in Halo, borders on psychopathic as they scream like an army drill sergeant at their own teammates for straying from the base.
Everything hinges on their ability to lead the team, and God forbid anyone else has an independent thought.
