Where to even begin?

Since EA relinquished the exclusive rights to make Star Wars games, everyone and their mothers have jumped at the opportunity to make something set in the galaxy far, far away.

The most visible currently is Quantic Dream's Star Wars: Eclipse, which received a swanky CGI trailer last year. However, there have been plenty more announced on top of that, including one from The Division developers at Ubisoft that was announced early in 2021.

More recently, Respawn has confirmed another entry in the Star Wars Jedi Fallen order series (expected to drop later this year), alongside a first-person shooter they also have in the works. The team is also planning a Star Wars strategy game, though details are light on the ground.

EA's exclusive reign has come to an end, and there are already more Star Wars video games in development than they released in 10 years. Here's hoping they're good.
