11 Video Games You Won’t Believe Are In Development

2. Alan Wake 2

For 10 years fans of horror video games have been asking one question: where is Alan Wake 2? The original former Xbox exclusive was a cult classic, an incredibly atmospheric shooter that took inspiration from horror giants like Stephen King, The Twilight Zone and Twin Peaks.

It wasn't perfect, but there was clearly more that developers Remedy could do with the property, which made it such a shame when a true sequel never materialised.

Now, though, following the success of new franchise Control (which ties into the story of Alan Wake), the developers have confirmed a true sequel is in production. A suitably creepy trailer accompanied the reveal, with the studio promising that that the new game will have an even larger horror focus, and won't be diluting its identity by chasing action trends.

A true survival horror game set in this world is a tantalising prospect, and hopefully we see some gameplay soon.
