In the interest of avoiding spoilers for the recently-released Far Cry 4, there won't be any discussion here about the game's real ending, but given how this alternate ending is something of a jokey easter egg, it's not particularly important anyway. What you need to know is this: Far Cry 4 begins with the villainous Pagin Min heading off to torture your guide, leaving you standing by the dinner table, which is a player prompt to leave and start the game properly. For most players, that's exactly what happens, but not all... The Alternate Ending: If the player stays in the dinner room for 15 minutes, Min comes back and cordially invites Ajay (the player character) to complete his mission without protest by leaving the urn of his mother's ashes alongside those of his half-sister in a shrine. Min then asks Ajay if he's gotten it out of his system now, so that they can go shoot some guns, as The Clash's Should I Stay Or Should I Go kicks in and players presumably restart the game the proper way. Why It's Awesome: This clever alternate ending has received a lot of press over the last week, praising Ubisoft's inventiveness in allowing the players to finish the game in less than half an hour in total. It's basically a fun easter egg not to take particularly seriously, but more games should include fantastic hidden treats such as this that clearly had some effort put into them.
