12 Awesome Video Games With One Awful Mechanic

10. Weapon Durability - The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild

Link's latest adventure may rock an incredible 97 Metascore, but it sure ain't perfect. By far the game's most irritating mechanic is the absurdly low-durability weapons, which will often break during extended fights, requiring you to keep a decent stockpile of replacements to avoid getting caught short.

In fairness, the game does keep Link well inundated with new swords, but it's still an unnecessary pain having to micro-manage weapons, especially when it adds little added strategy or difficulty to battles.

It's just plain irksome, and pretty much the only major black mark on an otherwise spectacular game, especially as it's something that could so easily have been rectified during QA testing.
