Oblivion may be one of the greatest RPGs ever made, but it also forces players to contend with a heinous progression system.

You're practically discouraged from leveling too much due to an unfair and flat-out unbalanced enemy scaling system which can leave you up severely disadvantaged if you make too much "progress". Plus, due to how stats are doled out while leveling, it's actually possible to become less powerful relative to the enemies around you.

Yes, there are plenty of mods available for PC players to tailor the game to their liking, but it's a travesty that Oblivion had such a bone-headed out-of-the-box leveling system. Horrid.
