If you've been putting off the Yakuza franchise until now, Yakuza 0 is the perfect time to dive in, a prequel to the mammoth action RPG series that represents some of the most ludicrously entertaining story-driven gameplay on the PS4.

With an operatic, sprawling narrative, savage combat, a demented sense of humour (how many other games have a character called Walking Erection?) and insane wealth of side content, Yakuza 0 can easily swallow over 100 hours of your life, and whether it's taking on the infamous giant Mr. Shakedown or singing karakoke, it's time damn well spent.

Plus, with the remake of the original Yakuza game, Yakuza Kiwami, due out at the end of August, there is literally no better time to get started.
