12 Best PS4 Exclusives Of 2017 (So Far)
9. Nioh
Though the marketing mostly sold Nioh as an eye-rollingly self-serious, hard-as-nails action RPG in the vein of the Dark Souls games, Team Ninja's latest effort is actually a much quirkier, sillier game than you might be expecting.
Don't let that endearingly barmy tone fool you, though, for Nioh is without question an incredibly challenging game from the up, one that punishes rash decisions and stubborn players who refuse to learn from their mistakes.
Still, the satisfaction that comes from finally felling a gigantic boss makes the suffering worth it, married to a gorgeous art style and surprisingly entertaining story and characters.
It'll be too tough for many, and don't feel bad if it takes you the rest of 2017 to actually beat it, but for discerning players craving a challenge, it definitely has to be played.
