Can we move on from "ZOMG it's the worst game EVA" now? Please?

No Man's Sky was always a really cool achievement from a studio of 14 people trying to make something different. Yes, lead designer Sean Murray got in way over his head promising all sorts of things that never made it into the final build, but if you knew the team's attempt to construct something that would get across the grandiose, never-ending scope and scale of space itself, that's exactly what No Man's Sky nailed.

A high school project built by over-excited nerds who'd been crunching the numbers and prepping for years, Hello Games as a whole were booed off the stage despite the core of their engine being pretty damn incredible.

How about we stop brandishing tomatoes and enjoy what they created?
