11. That One Punch - God Of War

The first taste you get of God of War's reboot going back to its older, more set-piece heavy ways, realising the scrappy-looking Baldur is actually a God that can level Kratos comes out of nowhere.

Literally seeing Kratos restrain himself multiple times when Baldur keeps getting in his face, eventually the he throws a punch that Kratos catches, only for a followup uppercut to send Kratos soaring, up over his house and into the back garden.

This all happens after the opening tutorial and a fairly slow sequence of events has introduced you to Kratos' new living situation, alongside the game's new combat model.

Suddenly introducing a character that can go toe to toe with everything you're pulling off is impressive, and the ensuing fight is icing on the cake.
