12 Most Disappointing Video Games Of 2013

10. Resident Evil 6

Resident Evil 6 It was always going to be doomed from the start really. You can't expect to design a games' logo to look like a woman doing unspeakable things to a shoe-wearing giraffe and then expect the game behind it - despite having a highly popular franchise name attached to it - to rise above this madness and deliver a good game. Perhaps it could have been possible if Resident Evil 6 was actually any good; but it really, really wasn't. One of the biggest problems with Resi 6 was that it just didn't really feel like Resident Evil anymore. Gone was the survival horror aspect of the experience; replaced instead with action sequences, explosions and a much more shootery feel than other games in the series. Maybe it's just our nostalgia specs fogging up and refusing us to accept the future, but it was easy to compare this to vastly superior titles such as Resident Evil 4 and see that this experience probably wasn't worth your money. It's only to be expected really - you can't remove the fundamental aspects of an experience and expect it to be as enjoyable. It's like if you took the cocoa beans out of chocolate. You're just left with milk and a pile of sugar and a growing sense of disappointment. Resident Evil 6 is just like that. Except it hasn't got any choccie in it and instead has zombies who aren't scary and silly action gameplay spread over chapters that break up the flow of the storyline. Ok, maybe not that like it then. But you get the idea.
