9. Dead Space 3
Continuing the theme of completely ruining a game experience is Dead Space 3, a departure from the core of a series that went a long way towards alienating a lot of fans of the series. Although it did receive a few positive reviews, Dead Space 3 was a bit too different for many. More action game than survival horror, Dead Space 3 packed in co-op fun and dreaded microtransactions just to make it a bit different from the original games in the series. It's not necessarily a bad game, but it's always dissapointing to see a series about genuinely underwear-filling scares deviate from the formula significantly and deliver a sub-par horror experience. Following poor sales, the future of the Dead Space series now hangs in limbo. Let's hope they can strategically dismember what went wrong and piece it back together right for another sequel eh?
