11. The Joker Isn't "Dead" - Batman: Arkham Knight

How Have Your Cake and Eat It Too, by Rocksteady - or at least, that's what this felt like.

See, after months of being told Joker was dead, definitely dead, unanimously dead and opening the game on his corpse being incinerated, you were probably settling into the notion of having a Batman: Arkham game without the Clown Prince "Tee hee hee, hoo hoo hoo"'ing all the way through.

Well, NOPE, because no sooner can you say "I bet I know who the Arkham Knight is", Joker pops back up, aims a gun directly at Batman and says, "Miss me?"

No, actually, Mr. J, we didn't.

Then, as though Rocksteady were terrified of writing a Batman story without the Joker, he establishes himself as a figment of Batman's imagination, turning up in even more places than ever before. Mark Hamill returned yet again - because of course he did - and Arkham Knight went into full-on Joker overkill, including a mid-point song and final showdown before the credits rolled.
