10. Far Cry 5

Far Cry: Primal it took a departure from the usual trend of exotic locations far removed from everyday life, however, Far Cry 5 is the first time that the series has been set in a very modern-day America.

So far we've seen the setting, and have been introduced to some of the key characters, who may well be playable for the duration of the final game.

The setting and tone, particularly with reference to the modern America setting and game's "American Christian" antagonists, has caused controversy. This has even sparked a change.org petition as some people are not happy about the subject matter. The petition urges Ubisoft to either cancel Far Cry 5 outright, as it is "insulting" to the American audience, or to change the setting and villains of the game to something "more realistic."

Further details at this year's E3, as well as a new trailer or some gameplay footage, will help give a broader view of the game and more insight in to Ubisoft's creative direction with Far Cry 5.
