2. Injustice 2

Injustice 2
NetherRealm

Injustice is fast-becoming just as much of a behemoth in gaming as Mortal Kombat, being where NetherRealm left off in 2013, DC continued fleshing out an entire universe of alternate reality plot arcs and character potentials in comic form.

That means an evil Superman, for one, and Batman's formation of a renegade faction to take him down. All these remixes of established tropes paves the way for a new 'Gear' (loot) system centred around letting NetherRealm's art department designing as many individual pieces of armour for arms, legs, heads etc. as possible.

You can expect the standard loot boxes and microtransactions to rear their heads, but thankfully, NetherRealm have stated all costumes will be unlockable through standard play. Either way, this narrative setup has already let fans' minds go crazy, as there are a ton of costumes we'd like to see.

Like Splatoon's way of bringing third-person shooting to a wider younger market, Injustice is all the impact of Mortal Kombat's OTT fighting with none of the squeamish fatalities. Perfect.
