12 Most Hotly Anticipated Video Games You'll Need To Play In 2016
11. Inside (XBO)
Limbo was a crucial part of the indie revolution back in 2010, using the 2D platformer as a, erm, platform to depict an eerie monochromatic world that you traverse as a boy in a red jumper. The game made a strong case for video games as an art form, and now the Xbox One Exclusive Inside is here to strengthen that case. Set in a bleak, near-monochrome world of factories, authoritarian regimes, guard dogs and defeated-looking denizens, Inside looks like what a 1920s German Expressionist movie would look like if it was made in the Eastern bloc in the 60s. Like Limbo, it's a physics-based 2D platformer, though with more focus on stealth judging by the trailer, as you duck from cover to cover avoiding spotlights, blend into a grim conveyor belt of people in a factory, and avoid attack dogs. The game's unfortunately been delayed a few times, but the current word is that we'll be getting it in 2016. If you like your platformers noirish and dystopian, then it's one to look out for.
