12 Notoriously Difficult Video Game Achievements Nobody Unlocked

1. Impossible Boy - Super Meat Boy

Super Meat Boy prides itself on being a punishing a game, to the point where much of the visual flair in each level comes from the blood that's been sprayed on the walls after every horrible player death.

Finishing the game at all is a hefty challenge, but trying to get through these frustrating levels without dying, perfectly nailing the platforming prowess necessary to dodge everything the game throws at you, is a huge test of might.

Even in the earlier levels, scraping through to the other side without a scratch takes dozens of attempts, so even thinking about doing the same thing on the chaotic final levels is something most gamers don't consider.

Super Meat Boy's climactic missions can't be beaten without dying by using cheap tactics or just throwing yourself at the problem over and over again, and it takes time, dedication and skill to pull off.

That specialist barrier for entry is reflected by the amount of players who actually have achieved the no-death run on the game's hardest levels, with only 0.33% of Playstation players unlocking the trophy for accomplishing it.

I don't know what it took to get there, but I hope the pain they endured along the way was worth it.
