12. Destruction Derby

Released in 1995, Destruction Derby delivered exactly what it said on the tin, destruction€ and a derby. To look at this game now you would think all the vehicles were modelled on old shoe boxes, but in its day this game was the digital peak of racing carnage. As a child you would play this game until your fingers bled, then play some more. The game catered to the destructive monster in all of us, giving us a safe way to let out our road rage without having to get the insurance companies involved. Not that anybody knew what car insurance was anyway.
