12 Original Playstation Games You Forgot You Loved
7. MDK
Released in 1997 by Playmates Interactive, MDK was the entrancing tale of Kurt Hectic and his mission to save the world from aliens who wish to mine it dry. The futuristic earth setting and crazy costumes gave this a very unique feel, and although it was primarily a shoot-em-up, there were a good handful side missions and challenges thrown in for good measure. Fun fact: The meaning of the name MDK was a mystery until one of the games designers eventually revealed that it stood for Murder, Death, Kill a tribute to the 90s action hit Demolition Man. Sadly the company had to insist that this was NOT what it meant, as manufacturers wanted to start making dolls of Kurt Hectic and refused to write "murder, death, kill" on the packaging. Instead the developers said that it stood for three of the main characters in the game; Max, Doctor Hawkins & Kurt. Not a bad cover, but it just doesnt have the same ring to it.
