12 Reasons You Were Wrong About Batman: Arkham Origins

5. The Beautiful Soundtrack

Nick Arundel composed some wonderful music for Asylum and City, but Christopher Drake really outdid him in his work on Arkham Origins. Already a veteran of multiple DC animated features such as Under the Red Hood and The Dark Knight Returns, Drake's composition for the Origins soundtrack may be his best work yet, implementing Christmas elements with the more traditionally Batman ones.

It really does rival the legendary Danny Elfman's work on Batman Returns and further adds to the cinematic feel that has been attributed to the Arkham Series since its inception.

Needless to say, the score is definitely worth a listen. Tracks like 'Carol of the Bells' and the main theme itself are both chilling and riveting, complimenting both gameplay and cut-scenes alike. Music's role in creating atmosphere cannot be overlooked, but this isn't the case with the majority of reviewers.

Drake may have composed some of his finest work for Arkham Origins, so it's a huge shame that many failed to take note of it when judging the title.
