12 Signs You're Getting Too Old For Video Games

It might be time to throw in the towel with your dignity intact.

Tina dead or alive

There comes a time in everyone’s life, where they need to accept they are getting too old for something.

Take Roger Murtaugh for example; he repeatedly claimed he was too old for whatever Riggs was trying to drag him into. Yes, he might’ve gone along with his hairbrained partner's schemes, but that doesn’t mean you can’t concede defeat to Father Time every now and then.

One such example is gaming. It's probably one of the toughest parts of your life to give up, but on reflection, some aspects of modern gaming just aren’t suited for older (read: wiser) minds.

Put simply, if the following points apply to you, it might be time to throw in the towel with your dignity intact...

12. Resuming An RPG And Completely Forgetting Where You Were

No Idea

If no-one admits to getting lost, then why do we need to have maps, reminders, journal entries, marker points and (for the love of GOD) Navi?

The sheer size of modern games is just beyond comprehension. You load up Deus Ex and expect to be exactly where you remember being but you have no idea what this security panel means; where exactly in the world you are or why there’s several bodies adorning the floor around you.

At least sat-nav never has this problem.
