12 Stunning Video Game Locations You Must Visit Before You Die

6. Kaer Morhen - The Witcher 3

Make no mistake, all of the Continent in The Witcher 3 is absolutely beautiful, a technical marvel that takes you to a mythical land that feels like it could've existed in medieval central Europe - albeit in a dimension existing just outside of our own. Beautiful though the Continent may be, it's filled with ferocious, horrifying beasts that'll blithely tear you apart then turn your bones into wind-chimes for their cave entrances (bones, after all, make a lovely clicky jingle when they knock against each other). The perfect place to get away from the dangers of the land, while still getting to appreciate its landscape and sunsets, is the old witcher fortress of Kaer Morhen. Nestled neatly in the mountains, it's an architecturally impressive place, with majestic interiors brimming with lore and history that you can spend ours studying. Stepping out onto the castle walls, the views overlooking the forests below are incredible, and it's the perfect place to safely appreciate those resplendent Witcher sunsets.
