12 Things We Learned From Nintendo's Super Smash Bros Reveal

1. 3DS-Exclusive Smash Run Looks Awesome

Smash Run was by far the most interesting new announcement to come out of the presentation. It quite simply looks like a ton of fun. Smash Rush is a dungeon crawler and at first glance bares a resemblance to Brawl's Subspace Emissary. It's actually rather different. In this unique multi-player mode, players are tasked with exploring a huge dungeon, killing enemies and collecting as many power-ups (speed, jump, strength, special move power, weapon damage, defence) as they can in the five minute time limit. Once the time is up, the competing players are thrown together to fight it out in a free-for-all using their improved abilities. All in all, Smash Rush seems like the perfect way to experience Smash Bros. on the go. The mad dash to gather the most power-ups will be an intense mix of skill and luck - the two defining traits of the Smash Bros. franchise. It's a worthy addition to the formula that's likely be a hit with fans and newcomers alike. Is Super Smash Bros. shaping up to be a must-buy for you, or do you think it's just more of the same? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.

When I'm not playing games, I'm probably either writing about them somewhere or singing stupid songs inspired by them. Or eating pizza.
