12 Things We Learned From Nintendo's Super Smash Bros Reveal

7. Online Has Two Main Modes

While they won't be able to play together, Wii U and 3DS owners will both be able to beat the crap out of people worldwide when reducing their friends to tears begins to lose its appeal. Smash's online comes in two distinct flavours when playing with strangers: For Fun and For Glory. For Fun is classic Smash fights that take place on stages selected at random with all items available. For Glory is for those looking for a more traditional fighting experience - one-on-one or multi-player matches with no items, taking place on completely flat, hazard-free stages called Final Destination. While previous games in the series had one Final Destination stage, most stages in Super Smash Bros. will have a Final Destination version. This adds a bit of variety to the mix, ensuring that players won't be stuck looking at the same environment or listening to the same music over and over again during marathon sessions. These restrictions don't apply when playing online with friends. You'll be able to choose any rules you want just like when playing local multi-player.

When I'm not playing games, I'm probably either writing about them somewhere or singing stupid songs inspired by them. Or eating pizza.
