12 Video Games That Can Save Nintendo Switch
9. Eternal Darkness 2
Why It Can Save The Switch: Eternal Darkness was one of the most innovative games released on the GameCube, with its unique brand of parlour tricks creeping the player out in totally unexpected ways.
Over the years there have been numerous attempts by creator Denis Dyack to get a follow-up made, but crowd-funding haven't hit their targets, even if the original Eternal Darkness was one of the GC's best-reviewed and most talked-about titles.
Releasing a spiritual sequel or more likely a soft reboot for the Switch would prove beyond all doubt that the platform isn't just aiming at the casual market, but has content for more mature-minded gamers too.
How Likely Is It?: Dyack's ambition seems larger than his actual ability to get things made, so it's hard to be that optimistic.
However, Nintendo did re-register the Eternal Darkness trademark at the very end of 2016, so that means they clearly still value the property, and perhaps could surprise us soon enough. 4/10
