12 Video Games That Can Save Nintendo Switch
8. Timesplitters HD Collection
Why It Can Save The Switch: Timesplitters is one of the greatest FPS franchises of all time, and fans have been begging for another sequel ever since 2005's Future Perfect landed on PS2.
Timesplitters 4 was shelved due to Future Perfect's poor sales (despite strong reviews), and so fans are currently left waiting for the long-gestating TimeSplitters Rewind mod (which features elements of all three original games in a shiny new title) planned to hit PCs sometime this year.
But why settle for a laboured fan project when a straight-up HD re-release of the original trilogy would be a success? Sure, it probably wouldn't be Switch-exclusive to maximise sales, but it'd have an undeniable niche appeal on Nintendo's platform in particular, because of the portable aspect and the multiplayer potential.
Fans haven't forgotten about Timesplitters, and they're not going to anytime soon.
How Likely Is It?: It's probably more likely than an actual Timesplitters 4, but unfortunately Crytek UK don't have much faith in the size of the Timesplitters fanbase, so it's still a slim possibility for now. 2/10
