12 Video Games To Get Your Partner Into Gaming

9. Pikmin 3

If gritty sci-fi isn't your partner's cup of tea then maybe taking control of the adorable critters known as Pikmin will be. In the third entry of the series it's never been easier to make your adorably miniature army do your bidding, as the game fully supports the Wii remote and nunchuck. Just point and click and your Pikmin will obey without question like the good little minions they are. The single-player starts off nice and slow and does a great job of teaching the mechanics of the game. Once your partner has a firm grasp on how to play then there are both competitive and cooperative multiplayer modes for you to enjoy together. You can collect fruit and the corpses of monsters that you've killed in a morbid take on bingo, or work together to horde as much as fruit as you can in a set time limit. Pikmin 3 will be enjoyable to those that like a calmer, colourful and more thoughtful gaming experience. If your partner has great organisational skills with a hint of OCD, this may very well be the game for them.

When I'm not playing games, I'm probably either writing about them somewhere or singing stupid songs inspired by them. Or eating pizza.
