12 Worst Superhero Video Games Of All Time
1. Batman: Dark Tomorrow (Xbox/GameCube)
To be quite honest, there's no better way to sum up Batman: Dark Tomorrow than how IGN put it in their original review. They said: "There is no polite way to say this, so I'll forgo civility for honesty: This game is crap."
Batman's appeared a lot on this list already, and it's quite amazing that the Caped Crusader has such a bad history with video games. We're spoiled now with things like the Arkham Trilogy, but it seems as if Batman game development previously was more of a 'throw crud at the wall and see what sticks' kind of approach, rather than actually thinking about it.
Where to begin with Dark Tomorrow? Well, one of the worst things about it is the combat system. There's no way to block, the controls are weird, and - as Batman doesn't like to kill people - you must arrest every enemy you knock unconscious. Only problem is that you get about five seconds to do so, and there are usually more than one enemy present at that moment. You'll also be treat to the exact same cutscene every single time you arrest an enemy.
Then there's the rest: a terrible camera where you'll end up fighting with it more than the enemies? Check. Grapple swinging mechanics where you'll routinely fall to your death through no fault of your own? You betcha. Load screens basically every 30 seconds that constantly break up the action? You got it!
Batman should immediately return to Wayne Manor and think about what he's done for putting out something like this.
