13 Biggest Things We Learned From E3 2018's Press Conferences

12. Spider-Man Looks To Be Marvel's First Arkham-Level Success

E3 2018
Sony Interactive Entertainment

Watching Spiderman close-out an already stacked Sony conference this year was amazing. Not only did it show off how spectacular the game looked - highlighting the stunning visuals, intuitive combat and jaw-droppingly fluid swinging mechanics - but it also demonstrated that Sony whole-heartedly believes that the game's going to blow minds upon its release in September.

But it's not just Spiderman's impressive demo on Sony's stage that's powering players' expectations. Feedback from the show floor has been nothing but positive for the web-slinger's PS4 exclusive, those lucky enough to play it raving about the sense of polish Insomniac have poured into every ounce of the game.

It's safe to say that Spiderman's likely to shatter expectations in three months, a fact that is exciting to not only fans of the beloved Superhero, but also to those who love Marvel as a whole. The comic-book behemoth has been gearing up for a wide-scale foray into the world of video games for a while now, and much like how DC found monumental success with Rocksteady's Arkham franchise, Spiderman looks to be Marvel's first successful venture into a whole new frontier. If the game is anywhere near as fun to play as reports from the show floor are saying, then we could be talking about it for years to come.
