7. Rod Fergusson Wants To Apologise For E3
Despite Gears 5 being one of Microsoft's biggest upcoming exclusives, the marketing for the title has been a confounding mess.
After an enticing trailer back in E3 2018, the company flubbed it at the 2019 show with an unappealing emphasis on multiplayer modes and prioritising a weird music video instead of actual campaign footage.
This led to the project producer Rod Fergusson apologising not once, but TWICE, about the prior showing at Gamescom.
He showed up a little sullen at the Inside Xbox show, then later at the Opening Night stream where he briefly presented a story-centric trailer in an attempt to make things right for the fans.
