Metacritic Score: 72 It's easy to have it out for Ubisoft and the Assassin's Creed franchise as a whole right now, what with the developer's shady recent business practices, and the generally disappointing reception to the last core Creed game, Assassin's Creed Unity. However, that's no reason to take it out on the surprisingly satisfying previous-gen spin-off, Rogue. Though its lack of a release on current-gen consoles suggests it's a lower-tier Creed title, actually playing the game tells an entirely different story. Sure, it doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it adds just enough mission variety to justify its existence, with the Assassin Interception side missions in particularly being a clever change-up of the series' rules up to this point. It's hardly the best game in the series, but deserves more credit and recognition than it's had, regrettably buried amid the considerable controversy revolving around Unity's low quality and parity issues.
