To say that Lara Croft set the world on fire when she debuted in the 90s wouldn't be an understatement. A massive crossover hit, the character entered pop culture like few others have been able to match ever since - and you can bet that most of this external fascination outside of the gaming scene had more than a little to do with the character's sex appeal.

Which is ridiculous considering the the way Lara actually looked in the game. With a constantly scowling face and the pointiest chest this side of Madonna's famous cone bra, Lara's blocky model resembled a smashed up lego set as much as it did the body of a super-model.

Of course, it didn't stop parents across the globe from getting it into their heads that Tomb Raider was nothing more than a virtual sex simulator. God bless the 90s.
