Although many games coming out after the original Resident Evil copied that release's framework almost verbatim, weirdly, Dino Crisis figured that genetically modified velociraptors could be just as scary as the zombies and monsters that occupied RE's mansion.

But the true horror of the game actually came from the title's impressively janky animation and design. Not only are the graphics terrible looking back on it, but the art style itself doesn't do the primitive PS1 game any favours.

Dinosaurs and survival horror could have been a great mix, but Dino Crisis tried to offer a sleek and sexy sci-fi horror experience, and in hindsight, failed at being either.
