13 Outdated PS1 Character Models That Used To Be Sexy As Hell

10. Paul Phoenix - Tekken 2

Paul Tekken
Capcom

Paul Phoenix was always supposed to be the edgy American heartthrob of the Tekken series. From the roaring motorbike to the decidedly dated fascination with leather jackets, Paul was ready to become one of the coolest and most memorable characters the franchise had ever seen - and yet all of that work was immediately undone by that hair.

It's a horrible design choice, and on the first three PS1 games it looked more like a rendering glitch than it did an artistic affectation. Even worse, it had a habit of getting more pronounced from game to game too, to the point where in some instances it looked as though Paul was smuggling a toaster in his barnet.

You could have had it all, Paul, but that dodgy square head of yours was just too much for the PS1 to handle.
