5. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
Choosing just one Grand Theft Auto is a task of total subjectivity, and whilst the series has delivered at making real that urge we all have during traffic to batter the person in front, or take a shotgun to that annoying elbow that keeps prodding you in a crowd, its Vice City that I think provides the best vistas and overall image for the franchise. It seems Rockstar are aware of this too, being that theyve remade GTA IIIs Liberty City in part IV, and San Andreas in V, perhaps were all in for a next-gen wonder-showcase of neon-drenched Vice City once again taking our collective breath away as Broken Wings soars away in the background. As is the case with Grand Theft Auto, its the dynamically-changing ebb and flow of the game that makes it so appealing. You can go from playing a round of golf, to taking a chainsaw to a drug-dealer whos attempted to rip you off, to wandering around a Tony Montana-esque mansion, to floating off down the river on a yacht as a gorgeous orange sun sets behind you. Being that all these things are down to you to enjoy in whatever order and fashion you please, it elevates Vice City into another category altogether.
