13 Severely Underrated Horror Games You Must Play For Halloween

8. Siren: Blood Curse

The moon peers out from behind a murky cloud and illuminates a clearing up ahead. You take a few tentative steps forward, but as you move through the forest, the snap of a twig alerts you to the presence of another. And before you can shape your lips around the words "Who's there?", you're suddenly seized by a vision in which you observe your last moments through your stalker's eyes as he lunges for your throat. It's a hell of a way to go, and Blood Curse builds upon the central concept of 'Sight-Jacking' to produce one of the most inventive games you'll ever play. Set in a small Japanese village, Blood Curse has you jumping between several characters as they do their best to evade the Shibito, zombie-like creatures with a propensity for disembowelment. With gameplay revolving around an ability which grants you the power to see through your attacker's eyes, Blood Curse cranks the terror to 11 and never lets up. Charging at the Shibito with a flurry of fists will only get you so far, so you're forced to stealth through areas and rely on Sight-Jacking to time your movements. Don't think for one second that having the ability to borrow your enemy's eyeballs will make things easier though, because you'll be dashed of that hope the second you lay eyes on the back of your own head.
