13 Severely Underrated Horror Games You Must Play For Halloween

6. Alien: Isolation

Remember back in the day how we were all shocked into paralysis when we realized that Nemesis could burst through a door/window/wall (the guy knows how to make an entrance) at any second in Resident Evil 3? Alien: Isolation takes that phobia, multiplies it by a hundred and slaps an acid-dipped tongue on it. Placing you in control of Amanda Ripley - daughter of the movie's iconic heroine - Isolation has you stealthing down pitch-black corridors with motion tracker in hand, praying to your deity of choice (mine's George Carlin) that the little blip on the screen isn't a predatory extraterrestrial creeping closer. And make no mistake, the Xenomorph of Alien: Isolation is worlds apart from the nerfed embarrassment of Colonial Marines - this beast is brutal, deadly and blindingly fast. It's everything you remember from the original Alien flick and more. Whether you're crawling through the cramped air vents of the Sevastopol or trying your hardest to become one with the shadows inside a locker, Isolation is at it's best when it's just you versus the Xenomorph.
