13 Most Stupidly Difficult Video Games In History

11. Battletoads

Sometimes a game can go down in infamy for just one level, and for Battletoads that would come right early on in the game - the third to be exact - which when you're first attempting to get through a new game, is enough to turn it off and throw it away forever. It's not like sticking around actually gave you anything good either, as the game was already a rip-off of the better-received Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (although even that was broken beyond belief the more you look back at it). That Speeder Bike level though, the process you had to force yourself into was literally just memory recognition - how many different inputs could you memorise in sequence, along with trying to keep your heart rate in check knowing any wrong move in the some 50-strong input-list would wipe you out? Nobody did this first-time through, unless there's some video game messiah we're unaware of - if so make yourself known in the comments!
