13 Terrible Levels In Otherwise Awesome Video Games

3. The High Road - Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy brought back all that frustration from playing the original games for the first time, and actually made the game harder due to the new control scheme.

This was apparent no more than in Crash 1's infamous bridge level The High Road, where Crash must navigate the bridge's countless obstacles (ice planks, insta-break planks, hogs and so on) while using turtles to leap great distances.

It is an insanely, infuriatingly tough level, and while you can make things easier for yourself by walking along the bridge's ropes to avoid most of the obstacles, maintaining your balance on the ropes is still immensely challenging.

The absurdly precise timing required to nail almost every section of this level is just ridiculous, so be smart, farm a bunch of lives before even attempting it and create a backup save so you don't have to farm them all over again when you inevitably get a Game Over.
