13 Video Games That Are Even More Frustrating Than Flappy Bird

2. Mega Man X

While I could easily have just done Mega Man, I opted to do Mega Man X instead. With Mega Man, you just defeat the 8 Robot Masters than take on Dr. Wily. Of course, you have to find the right order of defeating the Robot Masters, and then you have to manage all of their abilities during the Wily Levels, constantly changing them till you reach the end. However, the player has to do all this and more in MMX. Not only are there eight "Mavericks" to take on (the Robot Masters of the X universe), but to actually be able to have a chance of beating the game, the player must also find the four armour upgrades that grant abilities such as powerful slides, more chargeable shots, the ability to break things with your head, and an overall health increase. Finding the hidden locations of these upgrades, as well as which order to get them in (even they had an order), complicated matters a little more than necessary. The "easy" way to beat the game was to find the Hadouken upgrade (a terribly long and confusing process), and even then using it was a nuisance, as your health had to be completely full, which was near impossible (this is a Mega Man game). While the challenge of the game was met by many a gamer, for a few the overall experience wasn't important enough to warrant trying to finish the title. If Flappy Bird had to find better wings and a new beak, while also taking on different birds of prey who must be defeated in a specific order, then one could kind of get the gist of Mega Man X.
