13 Worst Video Game Industry Decisions Of 2018 (So Far)
1. Square Enix's Appalling E3 "Conference"
When Square Enix announced they would be hosting an E3 conference this year, fans were incredibly excited, given that this was the publisher's first E3 show in three years.
Ultimately, they shouldn't have even bothered. The 30-minute livestream was a thoroughly underwhelming bore, with no new updates on Final Fantasy VII Remake, while their Avengers game pulled a no-show, and PlatinumGames' new IP Babylon's Fall was the only truly interesting reveal.
Though the livestream was fast-paced and cringe-free, it was also massively lacking in interest. If this was all they had to offer, they should've made it clearer beforehand in order to lower fan expectations.
