14 Awesome-Sounding Video Game Sequels That Will Never Happen

The Skate series released three well-reviewed and successful titles between 2007 and 2010, and after YouTuber PewDiePie started showcasing Skate 3's hilarious physics engine in a series of videos beginning in 2014, the game enjoyed a major sales resurgence.

Skate 3 ended up so in-demand that EA were compelled to re-print it later in that year, only adding further fuel to the fire that a fourth Skate game would probably get made sooner rather than later.

Why It Will Never Happen: It seems that Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 bombing in late 2015 and a general waning interest in extreme sports games has prevented EA from pulling the trigger, as is an annual frustration for fans who keep their fingers crossed for an E3 reveal of the new game.

Fans need to accept that the general shrunken market for these types of games means that the series is effectively dead.
