The classic 1994 Neo Geo sports game Windjammers is back, now available for PS4 complete with online multiplayer support.

Despite being more than two decades old, the game's ferociously addictive core remains thoroughly in tact with this port, which reminds just how deceptively deep the disc-throwing gameplay can be, especially when the speed starts ramping up.

However, the new version of Windjammers unfortunately launched with online matchmaking issues, which has evidently caused many potential players to hold off, ensuring the player count is typically rather low when attempting to find a match.

Though the matchmaking problems seem mostly over with, the game hasn't really recovered from that initial PR knock, so if you've been on the fence, now's the time to dive in and give the community a much-needed boost.
