LittleBigPlanet 3 developers Tarsier Studios took their platforming talents to a whole new realm with this deliciously dark effort, which will make you crave a shower as soon as your play session is over.

Little Nightmares was released the same day as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe so may well have passed you by, but its beautiful art style, dark fantastical tone, and clever puzzle mechanics make it one of the most intriguing entries into the genre released this year.

It doesn't last long and you wouldn't be blamed for waiting for a sale, but at the right price point, it's an absolutely bonkers three-hour sprint that'll leave you with plenty to think about once the credits roll.
