14 Forgotten Video Game Franchises That Desperately Need Sequels

4. SSX Tricky

Despite SSX 3 being a solid followup to Tricky, there was always something so immediately iconic and aesthetically engaging about the second SSX game that still makes it many peoples' favourite in the entire series. Plus, following SSX 3 we had the forgettable On Tour and 2012's terribly personality-less reboot, neither of which came remotely close to emulating the loveable and charming likes of Tricky's overall presentation. As a result, EA BIG (the segmented studio put together to bring all of these crazy titles to life) was put to bed, but for a time everything they released from SSX to Freekstyle and especially NBA Street Vol. 2 had a mark of quality that few could match up to. So, instead of going anywhere near a 'reboot' or 'reimagining' of a franchise that peaked way back in 2001 (yes, really), EA should focus on continuing the sensibilities of Tricky. Get another phenomenal selection of songs together, get the original cast back (David Arquette's Eddie was top notch) and work on making the tricks even more over the top - fans of the franchise would be overjoyed.
