3. Snowball Mountain - Ape Escape
Back when Sony knew how to debut new technology and back it up with solid hardware to ensure you actually cared (What? The PS Vita? What's that?), the original DualShock had its analogue sticks put to brilliant use by the first Ape Escape. Come the time for a sequel, it was more stick-twiddling fun to activate flying weapons and flicking to ensnare dastardly chimps in giant nets. Snowball Mountain continued the tradition of setting a platforming level inside a snowy landscape, but complimented it with a smattering of presents to bash open, a snowmobile to tear around in and a couple of skiing monkeys to track down.
It's only when you take a look back at the sheer amount of platformers that were around across the 90s and 2000s, you realise how much we're sorely lacking for them now. A return from one of Sony's formerly premiere franchises would be perfect, especially seeing as Sony are severely lacking in the first-party department.
